Boat Show : South Carolina State Fairgrounds
Friday February 11 - Sunday February 13, 2011
The 48th Annual Boat Show will feature 12 area boat dealers and over 40 additional exhibitors. As in years past, wall-to-wall boats and marine accessories will pack The State Fairgrounds. Hundreds of boats, from a wide variety of manufacturers will be on site. The show will feature runabouts, sport boats, fishing boats, cruisers, personal watercraft, jet boats, and high-performance boats—everything from 12 to 30 feet will be ready to board and buy!
The Annual Boat Show is the largest and longest running boat show in the Midlands and this year the boat show will be joined by the RV show. Aside from the usual boat display areas, an additional 25,000 square feet will be filled with Campers, Motor Homes, and RV’s. This show will be something the whole family can enjoy!

Orchids on the Riverbanks Festival

A captivating exhibition of living orchid plants and arrangements can be enjoyed at the sixth annual Orchids on the Riverbanks Festival, at Riverbanks Botanical Garden.
“You don't need a green thumb to enjoy this show,” said Andy Cabe, botanical garden director at Riverbanks Zoo and Garden. “Just seeing the array of color and shapes alone is spectacular.” The exhibition opens at 1:00pm on Friday, February 11, and runs throughout the Valentine's weekend. Participants can ask the experts questions, learn the art of ikebana design, attend informative sessions and purchase an orchid from one of the many vendors.

Xiamen University Student Art Group, as the name suggests, consists mainly of talented students with a passion for arts. It is made up by a choir, a dancing team, a team for traditional musical instruments, a hip-hop team, a cross-talk team and a T-stage model team. This show presented by the Art Group is a galaxy of various artistic expressions, offering you performances imbued with strong Chinese ethnic characteristics, including performances with Erhu, Pipa, Dulcimer and bamboo flute, Chinese martial arts, Fujian local puppetry demonstration and ethnic songs and dances from Yunnan, Tibet, and Xinjiang.
