Henrico County Real Estate - Saguaro Hill

If you happen to be in Glen Allen, VA, you may find yourself driving on Staples Mill Road and asking yourself "what the heck IS that place?" That, my friend, is Saguaro Hill. Looking like something right out of the desert, Saguaro Hill isn't a landscaping company, it isn't a restaurant, it isn't a motel...no, it is a magnificent piece of art that is the home residence of J.T. Pemberton.

Curious about the history of this property, I did a little research and came across this article via Google. I hope you enjoy the read as much as I did and then plan a little drive-by to take in the beauty, and uniqueness, of this one-of-a-kind property right here in Henrico County!

Interesting post and very interesting article. Thanks for sharing. We're due for another trip to Richmond to view the Picasso exhibit at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Dolores and I love the museum!

Life is good when there are flowers to photograph!

Good happy Saturday to you Shannon,  I would of figure this was from out west when I look at the pictures.  Sorry, Richmond has some great sites but I have never seen this one.  Maybe a trip back east is in the future, but then again, Yellowstone always calls me.

Will - yes, it really does look like something from out West. In a sea of subdivisions, this home really does stand out! AND, the owner has done benefit tours which makes it even greater! Happy Saturday to you too!

I am always amazed at people who build something totally out of character to their area. I think it is fun that they bring what they love to an area, and then I wonder why don't they just move to the area they love so much?  I was once in a very nice house that was high in the mountains, and every piece of art, every accessory and collectible was reminiscent of the ocean...I'll be back to read the history of this property, you have piqued my interest!

It looks like a jail to me.
Steel bars gates locked up, plants barely surviving.....

If you pressed interphone button, nobody answering. Hopefully there is somebody alive in that hose.

I wish somebody to make some more purpose of that place.
