The housing collaborative is hosting a home clinic at the San Diego County Public Library Vista Branch Saturday, February 26, 2011 from 10 AM to 2 PM and the event is free! The housing collaborative, according to their website is "The Collaborative is a tax exempt non-profit organization consisting of HUD approved housing counseling and fair housing agencies, housing related nonprofits and business organizations, and governmental agencies that support all aspects of housing rights and responsibilities. The Collaborative serves as an information clearinghouse by consolidating housing related information and making it easily accessible to the public and partners. The Collaborative also acts as a clearinghouse for its partners by conducting outreach events to educate and provide housing counseling services to the public. The Collaborative also conducts capacity building workshops and training for it partners in order to standardize counseling."
According to the San Diego County Library's website, the HOME clinic is an opportunity to: "Attend educational sessions and speak to a lawyer, housing, or mortgage counselor on foreclosure, bankruptcy and how to keep your home. There is no charge to speak to these professionals."
According to the San Diego County Library's website, you be sure to bring: "a) photo ID, b) your loan documents, c) your last mortgage statement and d) any notices that you might have received from your lender(s)."
I know from first hand knowledge that Chase Homeownership Center Loan Advisors like the one that so impressed me will be attending this HOME Clinic. So, the opportunity is yours to speak with a loan advisor, lawyer and other professionals on ways to obtain your loan modification and other ways to save your home from foreclosure. You might be feeling nervous, under prepared and like a fish out of water...go anyway!
When you are given an opportunity to receive free advice, learn something new and potentially save your home from foreclosure you should take it!
