Another lonely open house.

I am a big believer in open houses.  I get a chance to meet potential clients each time I set up.  Open houses are a big part of my listing presentation as well.  I promise my sellers that I or another agent from my office will sit their home atleast twice a month.  Sellers in Wildwood like this. During the summer months, you are guaranteed to have people who are strolling down the street stop in and have a look around.  Even off season, weekends tend to bring people back down the shore and there is rarely a time when you sit by yourself in an open house - until recently that is.  My last two weekends have been empty.  Not one person stopped in to see the unit.  I had myself in a busy area -  had plenty of signs out to direct traffic- had a beautiful sunny day - and nothing.  This is so frustrating.  I wish the word would spread that now is the perfect time to buy property.  Rates are down, inventory is high and prices have reached the bottom.  Will I stop sitting open houses?  No way.  Will I remember to bring something to read?  Absolutely!!
