Rather than write about it today, I thought I show you some of the myriad of things you can purchase at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. It will be a gorgeous weeked and the last weekend of this year's show to get out an "window shop".

I remember my brother making trips down South from North Dakota to look for gems he could use in jewelry making. He is very skilled and it was fun to see the raw materials he would purchase and turn into fine jewelery.

Hi Bob, it is a jewler's paradise. People from Tiffany's and artists from throughout the world come to the gem show. Of course, those precious gems are not shown at the public shows. There is a considerable commerce going on in the hotel rooms, over elegant dinners, and it is the place where people from throughout the world can meet and buy and sell. Some of the shows are dealer only shows, and identification must be shown to get in. It's wonderful! Thank you for commenting.
