Blogging with a Vengeance!

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Classic Property Management

Well, to all of those who read this blog, I have a confession to make.  I have not been able to summon any kind of creative juices for quite some time now.   My last few blogs have kinda fizzled out, and I am stuck in a rut!

I am always amazed by the people here on AR that are able to continually post blogs day after day and keep each one interesting!  Sure there are those who post endless "market condition" reports.  A fairly easy way to squirt out a blog per day, but the people who have my respect are those who seem to have no end to their creative faculties.  I have no idea how some of these folks do it.  Let me give a shout out to a few of my favorite reads...

Tracy Thomas , Jeff Turner , TLW , Todd Clark , and  Rich Jacobson

There are several other blogs that I am subscribed to, but these are the folks that seem to be some of the most consistent bloggers on my list.  Not only that, but they also consistenetly blog about things that make you WANT to keep reading!

These are the blogger who I would say are blogging with a vengeance!  I can only hope that by getting to know them through their writing, I can somehow contract whatever it is that keeps them going strong!  for any of you who have never read a blog from one of these greats, you'd better hop on it!

I try to write about things of interest, so I guess I am not too interesting because I don't write many blogs.  :)

I do think there are a couple people that should be added to that list. Adam Waldman and Brian Block for sure!

Jonathan,

I'm new to this and I just written my 1st Blog.  I find that people who Blog about positive and stuff I can use in my bussiness seem to get my attention real fast.  How about blogging about an experience you've had that will help others, most Realtors have war stories.

Thanks for the shout out there Jonathan, it really does mean a lot to me. My creative juices come from years as a DJ, where you had to come up with new content everyday for a new show! If you didn't you were out of a job! Hmmm, sounds a lot like real estate!

Jonathan, one of the things that I do to keep coming up with ideas for posts is to write things down on a notepad right away any time I have an inspiration (whether it is from a news story, a magazine article, a class, an experience with a client, or just randomly from the ether).  Currently I have about 15 blog topics on my notepad next to my laptop and don't expect to run out of ideas any time soon.  Also, there are some excellent posts here on Active Rain with blog topic ideas (such as Mariana Wagner's alphabetical list of Localism topics).  Also reading other's blogs often inspires me with topics for my own.

Jonathan, your posts are always creative and entertaining. I often wonder how on earth some find the time to blog every day! I'm lucky to come up with a topic once a week!

Jonathan...

You just have a very bad case of writer's block.

It will pass...Just stop thinking about it...And your next post will just pop into your head :)

TLW...ROAR!

Hi Jonathan, thanks so much for the mention.  I really appreciate it.  Every once and awhile I take a break from blogging because I need a recharge. Maybe you're just doing the recharge thing.  Don't think about it too much, just go on about your business and read a lot.  I find reading very inspiring.
