Yesterday felt like it was going to be a big day for me...  But enough about me.  My clients' lives were just as busy and as much as I would've loved to sit back in a bubbly hot tub on a Saturday morning, duty called.

I'd planned my day accordingly.  My first client of the day had spent a more than a month in the hospital and then came and went intermittently.  I needed to take some new pictures of the place but it was quite messy so...  having planned ahead, I went in there and tackled each room, one by one, broom in hand, and got all of my pictures done and all of those rooms cleaned.

Greatly appreciative, the elderly couple sat me down to coffee and cookies.  I didn't pass on those!  LOL 

2nd client wanted everything done pronto.  Her week had been tough (which meant I had been on the receiving end of that).  Problems with the chimney getting covered in snow making fires impossible (during my last visit the house had been filled with smoke) and the work crew was only to arrive on Monday, a week after the issue seeing as we've been seeing so much snow down here.  I came over with her listing finalised to her liking, an ad proof for the paper for her to approve and all of the information she'd requested as well as a strategic marketing plan. 

There was also no place to post my sign (again because of all the snow) so I'd stopped to pick up some tie wraps and got the sign up half tied to a fence and the other half tied to a garden archway.  (This, of course, climbing through a 4-foot snowbank).  Her gratitude was apparent and she thanked me profusely for having been kind and patient regardless. 

3rd client was also in a strange situation.  After doing a follow-up with him to see if he'd booked the home inspector following the offer to purchase, I was surprised to hear that he hadn't had the time.  His wife's grandfather had had a stroke and they'd spent all of their spare time in the hospital.  Not wanting to pass deadline, I asked if he'd like me to proceed with the arrangements for him to save him that headache.  He accepted.  I contacted their chosen home inspector, booked a visit and then brought him the paperwork allowing me to represent him at the inspection so that he wouldn't need to miss any more work.  Another greatful client.

On my way to the office to process some recent paperwork, someone contacted me about a repo I was supposed to be showing the next day.  I couldn't answer all of her questions as I had not yet seen the property and so off I went to see the repo.  I contacted her back up to answer her questions (it wasn't what she was looking for) and she thanked me for my honesty and became my client.  I'm having her pre-approved as we speak.

Yesterday was busy with me doing a lot of things that go above and beyond the call of duty (on top of the dutiful calls) but...  each one of my clients went out of their way to tell me how thankful they were...  and that made my day.  I got home at about 10:30pm feeling like I'd just been on a mini-vacation.

Customer service above all else.  It really does make a difference and word of mouth travels fast.  Faster than I would've imagined...
