Is a Short Sale or Foreclosure just my Neighbor's Problem?

I sit here at my computer pounding out this post while my white German Shepherd , Charlie,  lounges on a leather couch in front of me… snoring away I might add.  This all leads me to my topic today.

So, is a Short Sale or Foreclosure just my Neighbor's Problem?  My answer to that is certainly not.   Our pets are suffering from the Short Sale or foreclosure Crisis right along with the rest of us.  If losing their home isn’t bad enough people are sometimes losing their animals in a Short Sale or Foreclosure situation.  Do you know someone that is losing their home or are you in that process?  There is help for you and your pet as you make a transition to a new residence.  Please don’t just leave your pets behind.

Let me introduce you to an organization that is helping both home owners and pets. It is called “Lost Our Home.” These wonderful people rescue animals, foster them, adopt them out to forever families, or even temporarily foster them until the home owner can find a residence that will allow pets.

Having rescued 4 dogs in my life time (of which Charlie is one of them) I have a real soft spot for this situation and admire this organization.  Visit their website and help spread the news of their services to hurting home owners and their pets.  If you aren't in crisis, but want to help please contact "Lost Our Home".

If you are facing Short Sale or Foreclosure, there is help.  Visit our website today for more information.

Molly - What a great post!  As a long time dog mama, my heart breaks every time I hear about some abandoned animal in a vacant foreclosure.  While it is sad that many families who have to leave their home and have to go and rent somewhere where they can't their beloved pet, it's even sadder not to make sure at least your beloved pet has somewhere to go to.  I wish the AR reblog feature was working because I would definitely reblog this.
