I Backed Off on Blogging Because I Had to Catch Up!

I didn't realize what a wealth of amazing people I could tap into when I joined ActiveRain just three months ago. I had heard about it from a couple clients but no one had really raved about it... turned out only 3 of msanta fe real estatey 50some clients actually had an account. I was doing all their SEO for them so why should they bother? I get it... no worries. But then I decided to break the ice and jump in FULL STEAM!! Boy, have I had the ride of my life these past few months.

We were doing just fine, puttering along with our fabulous portfolio of clientele that I assume appreciated our work, or they would have canceled by now. Had I known that I could have tapped into the biggest pool of my prime demographic, I would have years ago!

I have written for real estate website for about 7 years, and I have also BEEN A REAL ESTATE AGENT! That speaks volumes to those that don't want a no name SEO company writing articles for their site. They want someone that knows the business. Granted, I only practiced real estate for about 5 years but did my fair share of crazy deals and got to know most details about the transactions; listing and buying.

winthrop wa real estateThis has brought about numerous folks that have contacted me for service. I am overwhelmed, over-joyed and down right tickled that I can actually help more folks by just being ME on here. I have actually gotten so many clients I backed off on blogging so I could catch up with my current clients.... don't want to leave anyone not feeling like they don't have my FULL attention!

I have learned three major things about blogging on ActiveRain in my last three months. I have written about and for others so long that I almost forgot the joy of writing for me.

  1. Blog about your clients - listings - regional areas
  2. Blog about YOU! People want to know YOU - who they are doing business with and that you are a real person just like them.
  3. Blog answers and questions - you will help some and get answers from others.

I have noticed some AR folks that do all three, some that only do one and others that may jump around... but I noticed that those that get featured the most, subscribed to the most, and noticed the most, blog about everything. Life, Marriage, Work, Business, Listings, Personal, RAW EMOTION... It may not appeal to all... but I can't be anything I am not.

I love expressing myself on ActiveRain - I love exposing my clients and my work - And I love meeting so many amazing people that not only read but faithfully subscribe. I appreciate you!! More than you know.

If you need amazing referrals in the Santa Fe NM homes area or maybe in the Winthrop WA real estate area, consider contacting one of my wonderful clients. They are experts at helping folks buy or sell real estate in their neck of the woods!

It is amazing how many agents do not use Active Rain or even know about it. It is a great resource for information and networking.

I've noticed the same thing about the biggest bloggers on AR.  I'm not the sort to put my personal life online so for me, if I get a loyal following it'll have to come from other areas.

It's powerful that this community can expand your business that way.  And, it's too bad agents don't get it.  I don't consider AR extra 'work' I look at it as one of the least expensive forms of advertising and net-marketing there is.  And, I can do it from the comfort of my Lazy-Boy!

Thanks Randy! It's amazing to me how many just don't know OR don't want to put in the time.

Bryan! Always nice to see you here...  I have to take the perspective that, hey, they can Google  me or FB me... I really am who I am and have nothing to hide...  :)

Don, I love that too. I have tweeted, Blogged and Facebooked in nothing but my skivvies and loved it! :)

Laura, THANK YOU!!! It's folks like you that make me love what I do! :)

Nice Post, I haven't caught up with all your posts. I thought you'd been forever. I have a hard time getting personal. My posts are usually real estate related and dry. I did do a personal one for Valentines Day. I have been trying to get more creative, but mostly I just like reading the posts, and I have ventured into asking for help from Active Rainers.

Happy Valentines Day.

Tammy, in that short three months, you have averaged a blog a day. All of it quality content that is very useful to a lot of people. You are appreciated here and you can take a well deserved break without feeling guilty. PSST---drop a few into draft mode and post them later. Betcha can't stay away for too long.

You are addicted, remember?

Maureen -  I didn't go far... just not posting as often as I was right out of the gate.. I can't leave a good thing as AR for too long! :)

Connie -  Thanks!! I appreciate your comments always and your posts as well!!

Tommy -  We are ready for you! Give us a call when you are and we will set it all up for ya!

Sam -  I too have many drafted ideas that never got more then one line... I need to go back to those but find one more that I have to blog about "right now!" ha

Maria - I think, if someone wants to know all about me, Google my name and I am everwhere... might as well be honest and myself and more people will find me "human" enough to relate.. ha! :) Thanks!!

Craig - As I menioned to Sam, I do have too many in draft to count that I haven't gotten back to... some that don't seem that cool now! ha... but I am addicted.. I mean, I log onto facebook every morning and AR is my next stop! hmmm

John - Thanks John!! I appreciate it! And it is working well. I LOVE helping those just out of the gate or have tried for some time without making it in the search engine world. I love it and wouldn;t stop now! :)

Tammy ~ sometimes life gets in the way of our blogging for ourselves!  When I can't get on AR, I really miss all the friends I have made here.  I am trying to expand my writing subjects, like you have said.
