As of February 12, 2011 30% of available listings in Marvelous Marin County are in escrow. Not very impressive given that inventory is really low.
For the month of January 2011 only 133 homes sold in Marin County for an average final selling price of $661,386! I don't remember the last time the average selling price in Marin County was this low. (Hello Buyers! We want YOU in Marin County!)
The average original asking price of these homes was $746,258, so you can see that sellers are making deals!
The range of final selling prices was from a low of $119,900 for a condo in San Rafael to a high of $3,700,000 for a fabulous property in Tiburon.
Of the 133 homes that sold (56 of which were distress sales) 8 sold at their original asking prices, 5 sold over their original asking prices and the remaining 120 sold for less than their original asking prices.
It took these homes an average of 128 days to sell.
