What I have learned in my AR Journey, after 200,000 Points in AR in 13 months!!!!! OK, so I have been on AR Since January 8, 2010, Thanks to Todd Clark.  I meet him at a Keller WilliamsChallenge (that is another story!!), He showed us the power of AR and I jumped on, anything that is this cheep and can give me the HUGEresults that AR has given Todd, I needed to be part of..  Joined, in the last 13 months I have written posts about homes that I have listed, marketing tips that I have found, Questions that clients have asked and just general things.  So, I wanted to share with you what I have learned on my AR Journey:
What I have learned is really that it is a JOURNEY: I started this know knowing anything I read posts from other agents, and that has taught me so much!!!! I work in an office that is like a family, we help each other (my previous experiences were just the opposite) and I found that AR members are just as helpful! Ask any question and you will get answers from others!  The ActiveRain Community is just like my Keller Williams Office!!!!!
I learned after 13 months, and 200,000 points: That its not just about the points.  Points are instant gratification for your efforts.  We all know the What you put in you get out!  (just like life I think!)  

Here is a list of what I have learned:
    1. You can write anything you want, it is all useful and will help others.
    2. Read other posts, you will learn from what people have to say!! Watch for the Challenges from AR, they are fun and you will learning something (and possibly get FREE Things!!)
    3. I know Vancouver WA, and Clark County better, I have had to go out and learn things about the community and share them.
    4. I learned that I am not a great writer, I will say what I have to say, I hope that people will learn from it or teach me from it!
    5. Points are FUN, they are not the reason,  I started off wanting to be NUMBER 1 I am number 2 in Clark County and I am OK with that for now!! (Mark Hall, I am on my way, I am cranking it back up!, Oops that contradictory).  I know blog with Purpose not just to get something out there!
    6. Online Relationships, I have had the chance to meet people and build relationships, Todd thank you again for all your help and continued friendship.
    7. I am found on Google!! I have sold a home because of AR I had a client see a house I was marketing came in and said "I saw you online, and loved the VisualTour and had to see the house"  She wrote the offer right then and we closed 30 days later. I must say that has happened more and more!
    8. I have learned about programs that can help me with my business, HootSuite, Google apps, (actually I have a list of like 30 free things.
    9. Learned that I need to make sure I spend time with Family & Friends!
    10. Better Marketing with the internet, and social media!
   
What I have learned in my AR Journey, after 200,000 Points in AR in 13 months!!!!!So as you see I have learned a lot, and I must be honest, I have learned a lot more and am just forgetting a lot!!  Some are more profound than others and some have affected my business more than others, I will say when you put the package together AR is an amazing tool, if you are a real estate agent and do not have the POWER OF ActiveRain you are Missing out!  If you are and agent and you have not invited your friends and your office people to join AR shame on you.  It will not only help you it will help your office!!!!
