John ~ I actually think I may go and get this done.  It can't hurt, right?!  Besides we all should have our cholesterol levels tested and why not get it done for free?!  I did mention this to one or two folks in my office that I know do not have any health insurance.  I just heard about it on the radio and looked the info up online.  I think it's a terrific idea.

Dawn,

If it is free and you are available, you really should go. Your PCP or family doctor would charge you an exam fee and you would still be responsible for the cost of testing from the lab. When I was a kid, I never understood the value of good health. I guess I was mostly very lucky. What a terrible irony to have to wait until your age causes you to pay attention to this fact.

Jason ~ this kind of testing can really add up in cost.

John ~ you are correct about that.  We wait until later in age before we start to worry about our health.

Nick ~ Free is ALWAYS a plus!!

Jeff ~ I will check to see if this can be re-blogged.
