Wow 250 Years for our Lancaster County borough!
Since its founding in 1761 by John Miller, Millersvile was originally called Millersburg then was named Millerstown before it became known as Millersville in the 1800s. Then came Inns and hotels, the post office, the stage coach and trolley, the Normal School, cigar factories, and other businesses and educational institutions.
To celebrate 250 years of community, The Millersville Historical Society, Millersville Lions Club & the Millersville Woman’s Club are sponsoring events that kick off later this month and continue through December. There are a variety of activities and evens that will attract all ages an interests so please add these events to your calendar!

The kick-off event includes dancing, food/beverage, an historical photo display, a fashion display from the two centuries, a special cake prepared by Carlo’s Bakery (aka TLC’s The Cake Boss of Hoboken NJ) and fireworks
April 28 - 7:00 p.m. Millersville 250 Exhibit Opening Reception (free) Conestoga Area Historical Society, 51 Kendig Rd., Conestoga A special introductory evening, which includes a reception for community friends to view many artifacts and memorabilia collected and donated to this special Millersville 250th anniversary exhibit.

Swan Pond is a contemporary children’s ballet with new original work by artistic director Jana Filling of Dancers’ Edge Studio. Featuring the choreography of Rachel Sherts and other local choreographers, young dancers from the community come together to immerse themselves in the natural movement of nature.
