Like spoiled children

For the last year, whenever the topic of how best to take care of on or another deficits comes up, the answer from our more liberal minded folks in this country seems to lean towards "we all need to sacrifice" or " we all need to pay more".

OK. How about you paying a bit more. Or more to the point, to quote a liberal scripture, "how about you giving back a little". The man is pointing at you. Yeah you. You who told us to sacrifice and pay more and give back. Now is your chance to show all of us dumb folks how really intellectual and above it all you are. All of your coffee house talks with your liberal friends are on the table. Put your money where your mouth is.

Oh, you won't? You will hold demonstrations and call for the Governor to resign? You will keep calling in sick until you get your way? The lawmakers on your side will do the same?

Oh, you thought that someone else should sacrifice, and give back. Now I see.

What of all the condescending talk about sacrifice and giving back? You libs love to speak to us like you would do all of that and we never would. Man up, take the hit, and get on with it.

There is more coming.

Socialism is not so much fun when you run out of other people's money.

The funny part is that they would still only have to pay 12% of their healthcare and 50% of their pensions. To folks in the private sector or all of us self-employed folks that is a joke.

I appreciate public workers organizing; however, when their costs exceed the state's ability to pay EVERYONE loses and WI students will loose on this one.

I have no problem with them organizing either. But, in that vein, I believe public service employees should not be able to strike or sit out or whatever they call it.

Now theDem legislators in Wisconsin are hiding in Chicago so the vote cannot happen. So while the rest iof the Wisconsin gov't works, they play. I wonder how much that is costing the good taxpayers.

Kevin - you forget, its the evil rich, the evil property holder, etc. that are supposed to sacrifice. After all, public employees sacrifice their hours for the rest of us.

Kevin, I just received notice that my health care plan will be a total of $600/mo starting in April! That is a $213/mo increase!  The libs want to spread the wealth around as long as it isn't theirs.  Pres. Reagan had it right, fire them all!

Kevin, I am so proud of all the men, women and families standing up for their rights in the great state of Wisconsin.  Governor Mubarak Walker is way over the edge, and what he is pushing for is un-American.  There is talk of putting a recall on the ballot and removing nine of those "evil-doers" who are siding with Governor Mubarak Walker.  Then, next January, he is next.

And Kevin, I wouldn't exactly call what those brave Democratic legislators are doing in Chicago... "playing."  They finally have a good enough set of "brass ones" to do what is right, and stand up to that fool of a bully.  He has given big business millions of dollars of tax breaks so far... and gee whiz... the ones who got it are those who contributed to all of their political campaigns.  Funny how that works.

"Socialism is not so much fun when you run out of other peoples money?"  What does that even mean? Of the 13 trillion dollar federal debt, Reagan, Bush 1 and Bush 2 are responsible for 9 trillion of it.  What does that tell you?

Let's not forget that "W" took the federal debt to over 10 trillion dollars, left the economy in a total shambles and left 2 on-going wars.  All of which is now falling onto the Obama ledgers as deficit spending.

Obama is responsible for 2 trillion dollars of the current debt and most Keynesian economists agree that the government did what it had to in order to avoid a real Depression.

Karl - I do not care who is to blame. Just like most of my Tea Party brothers and sisters, we want to cut spending. And we will. It is going to happen and in a big way.

CUT SPENDING!!!

The point of the saying above about running out of other people's money is simply that!  Socialism only stays AFLOAT, when there are enough hard working folks to STEAL from and give to others.  Socialism never works.  Why?  Because when a government takes enough from the workers and producers, they ultimately take away all motivation to be an earner.  Human's are basically lazy.  When given the choice of being taken care of and having security (even if it is fake security) humans most often choose the lazy path.

Why do you think that there have been so many people become successful after inventing or creating  something when they are dirt poor?

"Necessity is the mother of invention"  - Plato

Look at history.  Socialism did not create the MOST VIABLE country in all of history.   Capitalism did!

Socialism did not produce the LARGEST MIDDLE CLASS in history.  Capitalism did!!

Let's talk FACTS regarding the US DEBT.

obama increased federal spending by a whopping 24% IN ONE YEAR!!  And now he wants to "FREEZE THE GOVERNMENT SPENDING AT THIS HIGH LEVEL!  Is he stupid or trying to put the United States into bankruptcy?

"When President Obama took office two years ago, the national debt stood at $10.626 trillion. It now stands at $14.071 trillion -- a staggering increase of $3.445 trillion in just 735 days (about $5 billion a day).

When President George W. Bush took office, our national debt was $5.768 trillion. By the time Bush left office, it had nearly doubled, to $10.626 trillion. So Bush's record on deficit spending was not good at all: During his presidency, the national debt rose by an average of $607 billion a year. How does that compare to Obama? During Obama's presidency to date, the national debt has risen by an average of $1.723 trillion a year -- or by a jaw-dropping $1.116 trillion more, per year, than it rose even under Bush.

Still with me?

Tell us again that obama isn't running us into the poor house!  Sure.

obama should have stopped fighting the wars, but he hasn't.

The fact that obama's deficits have, by any standard, more than tripled those of the Great Depression, cannot convincingly be blamed on the current recession. (We are talking about inflation-adjusted deficit numbers)
