Santa Fe Homes Experts Offer Arts and Cultural Events In New Mexico
Santa Fe is a mecca for booming arts, cultural events and even the film industry. With recent demonstrations in Santa Fe about the New Mexico's film industry, Santa Fe is getting known for much more than a desert oasis.
This week Santa Fe hosted the New Mexico Film Industry festival showcasing new talent, searching for more talent and offering workshops on make up, editing, directing and acting. Many showed up not only to participate in the workshops but to hopefully be seen or noticed as well.
Recently the Governor of New Mexico lowered the incentive on films in New Mexico from 25% to only 15% and this may not be enough to keep the film industry from coming to New Mexico. With so many participants and those actively involved in the film industry as well as Art and culture as a whole, this may change and some hope this to be sooner rather then later. They don't want all the incentives to run out and extinguish the growing film popularity in the area.
As well as the New Mexico film industry there is also the Santa Fe International Folk Art Festival around the middle of July this year. Focusing on paper mache art, textiles, and local Santa Fe artists this proves to be a very busy event every year.
The Santa Fe Indian Market is unrivaled in both size and prestige occurring late August each year. More than 100,000 collectors, gallery owners and fans of Indian art crow Santa Fe, gushing over what the Indian Market has to offer. 1,100 artists representing over 100 tribes: there is sure to be something for everyone.
These are just a few of the amazing Art and Culture attributes and events happening in Santa Fe this year. Be sure to be a part of it by contacting the local Coldwell Banker Santa Fe office. Their agents are highly knowledgeable in all events, activities and of course all Santa Fe homes.
