Another Trick to Help Sell Your Home

There are No Tricks!!   There are however some smart effects you should do!  In a recent article, written by David Burrows, he suggests to leave your home, bake some cookies and let the Realtor do his or her job.

Here is the one aspect many sellers over look along with their Realtor.....Make the entrance as clean as you can get it!  When you have finished cleaning the door, the door jam, polishing the door handle and power washing the entrance, DO IT AGAIN!!

First Impressions are soooooo, so important!  Obtaining the key from the lockbox is a fairly simple task, and opening the lock does not take much effort (in most cases) The buyer is standing there looking at the house's entrance....NOT watching the key process, or concentrating on opening the door....they are standing there for 10, 20 maybe even 60 seconds or more, and are developing what they imagine the rest of the house looks like.  They see cob webs, or rust, dirt, and a poor first impression....that kind of sets the tone for the rest of the tour of the home.

I wish I had a nickel for every prospective buyer who stood there and commented to me how dirty the corners of the entrance is.  Think about how Mr. and Mrs. Buyer are standing there waiting to get in....what are they looking at?  Put yourself in their shoes for 20 seconds.....that's all it takes.

Go to a movie. Read a book in the library. Let the agent sell the house. Sound advice, Dick.
