Sometimes I am amazed when looking through listings on the MLS. Today, as I was helping a couple narrow down their search for homes to visit I came across a home that looked promising. I didn't recognize the street so I did what I always do- look at the directions. Usually the agent inputs specific directions to the property or at minimum the cross streets.
This one particular home said these words:
Directions: Use MLS Mapping tool or GPS
Wow! I could have never figured that out. Thanks for those great directions. Does this mean you have no idea either where this property you listed is located? Do you think listing the cross streets might be helpful? If I forward this to the buyer to drive and look I am sure they will find this helpful.
Everything else on this listing was minimal- no descriptions of anything. Is this the best you have to offer your seller to get the home sold quickly and at the best price? I don't think so.
My advice to getting buyers to come look at the home-Make it easy for them. List detailed directions, or at the very least- cross streets. Yes, we can use a GPS, but it is helpful when narrowing down properties to know the general area of the home. Go ahead, put in the extra effort- your sellers deserve it.
