Lilliwaup - Podunk says the name Lilliwaup "name derives from Indian word for "inlet". Wikipedia, says, "the area was settled by early pioneers by 1854" and in the 1920's was thought to be a future resort town. Today's Lilliwaup, is a sleepy community on the Hood canal with a store, motel, and a post office.
