MLS Photo of the Day

Real Estate Agent

As real estate professionals, we spend a lot of our time on our local MLS doing research of all kinds. The general public also spends time doing research online when they're in the market for a home. We all know this because we are professionals. That is why it never ceases to amaze me what little attention some 'professionals' pay to their online presence and most importantly their current listings. Houses don't sell themselves so we need top quality marketing to attract attention and present the property in the best light.

I was on my local MLS this morning and it wasn't long before I encountered some really poor listing presentations. Maybe one of the easiest things to do is get good pictures. If you can't take them, then hire someone who can. Here's my MLS Photo of the Day! Would you take your client to see this listing?

Looks like an old camera-phone took this picture.

Is that mold growing along the baseboards?  PASS!

Lol, it almost seems like it was taken bad on purpose as the place is in pretty bad shape.

Alan is on base....bit fuzzy of picture.  Even though it could be dirt on the baseboard it does cause one to think of mold.  I hope you have clear pictures!

I've seen 'Brownie Hawkeyes' that take better pictures.  If I was the seller, I would F-I-R-E this agent ASAP!!  Half of our sales job lies in the presentation of the sellers' home.  If we can't even take good pictures then what else CAN'T we do!

The name to remember when you want it done right.

From that picture I would have to request not to be taken there. Guess that agent doesn’t believe in the need for marketing.

How do these agents make a listing?  This is just too sad.

Greg, Sometimes my camera is just so cold, that it does take photos that are not always great.  I do try to redo those chilly, cold photos, when I can.

Greg - that's too funny if it wasn't true... I'll bet the sellers love this agent for his photographic skills as well... Boy there are sure some doozies out there... Thanks for sharing this well done shot...
