I love the beauty of winter, but enough is enough. Mother Nature it is time for Old Man Winter to take a long nap with Santa at the North Pole.
I am ready to go back to the 80's and lots of sunshine.

We've had 70's all week.... it's hard to believe other areas are still getting snow.

Oh my -- That beach picture is gorgeous! We're pretending like spring is already here in North Dallas/McKinney. It's been in the 80s for several days and we're loving it -- but that's typical of February for us -- we'll be getting a chilly blast soon I'm sure. BTW, I like your nice new photo -- liked the other one, too, though! :)
We thought the snow was over too. I am running around like crazy today to get listing pictures before we get a blanket of snow.

Thanks for the comment about the photo. It was taken at the ActiveRain luncheon in Baltimore a few weeks ago. Someone told me I needed a new photo. (in a very nice way)
Ellie--good luck getting your photos taken today. We received 6-10 inches over night depending on where one lives. I think my yard has 8+ inches and the driveway must have 10+ inches of heavy wet snow at the apron.
Yuk! But I am planning to cross country ski with a friend this afternoon.
Mary, I noticed you updated your picture, nice! In Colorado we had 1 snow storm but most of that is gone already. I'd actually like to see some more snow here!
Al & Peggy--We love traveling together, but nothing beats spending a quiet evening at home.
Thanks for noticing, Jason. Erie gets a lots of snow most winters because we are on the SE side of Lake Erie, but not as much as Buffalo. I went cross country skiing this afternoon. Fantastic!
Me too!! Love the new photo!! I have had it with the snow too but the idea of cross country sking sounds like fun and something I have always wanted to do.
Did you book your cruise? After the winter you've had, you definitely deserve it! Nice photos but I think I'd prefer the beach and cruise over the snow.

I enjoyed meeting you in Baltimore on the 5th. The photo was taken at the luncheon. Come to Erie anytime. In winter I will introduce you to cross country skiing, but most visitors prefer Erie in the warmer seasons. For me each one has its strong points, but I like the vibrant colors of fall.

Patricia--Yes, we booked another cruise while still onboard to take advantage of the offer of 'on-board credit' towards next cruise. The irony was beautiful, warm weather while the cruise, but we came home to cold & snow. Cruising in the winter is our brief escape.
mary, OH YES I am definitely reading for some 80 degree weather. I am going to Florida next week for some.
