Surviving my Serengeti as a Giraffe in Atlanta Real Estate
I just read the first two chapters of Stefan Swanepoel’s new book Surviving your Serengeti: 7 Skills to Master Business and Life. They were tremendous and I am eagerly awaiting the book. What I love about the story so far is the easy to relate to nature of the book. I am eager to read the rest of the book. Every person is at some kind of cross roads in their life, whether it be a job, time in life, stage with children, etc.
After I read the first two chapters I took the quiz and found out I am a giraffe. I do have an eternally positive outlook and am driven to do my best. It’s interesting that after reading this I was considering how this affects my real estate business.
My belief is that because I am out for my clients best interests, I am still thriving in this very tough market. We’d had good referrals, as folks know we will be honest with them about important decisions they are making. If they are selling, we are truthful about the market, not taking high priced listings that we KNOW cannot sell. If we are helping buyers, we are patient to make sure we are helping them find the best property that fits their needs and budget. If we are leasing out their home and doing property management, we want to make the best decisions to return the highest ROI in this investment real estate market.
Let’s face it the world in real estate around us will continue to evolve and it helps to understand the jungle in which you find yourself. Knowing what kind of animal you are and how to relate to the others in the jungle is always a good thing. It just could save your life!
So, if you are looking for a Realtor with a positive outlook out for your best interests, why don’t you give me a call 404-219-9760?
