On this past Saturday I had the opportunity to try Ethiopian food at Blue Nile located in the south part of Houston, Texas. As a native Houstonian and a connoisseur of food I was very pleased with the overall experience. In all honesty I would rate it a 4 with 5 being the highest score. I was there with my meet-up group (www.meetup.com/4foods) so we ordered many different entrees so we could all taste a little from each dish. A few of the dishes we ordered included Yebeg Tibs, Kitfo, Tibs, Shrimp Wot and Fried Fish. Of course all dishes come with vegetables and injera bread. For the wine lover please do not leave without trying their homemade Ethiopian honey wine. For some it may be a smooth extended version of Mike's Hard Lemonade or some may feel smooth corn liqueur is a better description. Either way I encourage you to visit their restaurant and check that off of your 2011 to do list. I do not think you will be disappointed.
