Making a difference one agent relationship at a time

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker United Realtors® ~ 512.750.6899

Thru the years I have maintained a goal to make a difference one transaction at a time for my clients.  Another goal has been to make a difference with the agents I work with one encounter at a time.
I've had many offers brought to me and many offers supposedly being brought to me over the years.  I've been in these agents shoes...you try and educate your buyers and show them the comparable sales but sometimes they still want to come in with a certain low ball offer or they change their mind when they go back to see the house to write an offer and voila no offer is written!

Last week I had an agent call whose buyer had seen my listing last fall but decided to make an offer on a short sale that guess what....never was able to get worked out in four months!  We took my listing off the market and were going to put it back on in March.  I called my sellers and they made arrangments to get the house "show ready" yesterday.  I printed out the flier, floor plan, sellers disclosure and survey for the agent.  The agent was very appreciative, we made the house available and they brought us an excellent offer.

As agents we need to be cooperative and help each other out so buyers get to see everything that is potentially available.  You never know when it can be a win/win for both parties!

Good morning Emily,

Dorie ~  How important to keep those bridges from burning -- you just never know when that open hand of cooperation will pay off.  Had to lean . . .

Good morning Barbara,

That is for sure. Agents want to work with other agents who are approachable, easy to work with and cooperative. Like any business networking is crucial to your success or failure.

Dorie, We LOVE those offers that come in while one of sellers is temporarily off the market.  Stress/hassle factor is significantly decreased, both parties can work it out without worrying about something else coming in.

Excellent points made here Dorie. Without the mutual respect and relationship building between colleagues, you might as well be on an island alone.

Good evening Anita: We do need each other and cooperation is a long term assest!

Good evening Craig: And that is no way to operate a service business!

Good evening Gary: Networking with other agents makes all the difference in geting your listings under contract. Agents want to work with proactive agents..no one has time for ones who are way too important to help make things easier for each other.
