Blog Internet search placement update

Services for Real Estate Pros with Nova Scotia Real Estate Blog

Well - It's been 3 months on AR!  17471 points and I've learned a ton so far and made some great connections! I Even have 2 excellent clients so far and one is in offer stage!

1 From a non-existant Yahoo presence I went to #1 on page 1  and also #9 on page 1.  - Thats for the search of "St. Margaret's Bay Oceanfrontage."  - Thats golden -as thats what I would put in to find oceanfrontage if I was looking!

A search of my name alone runs around 9 th on Yahoo.

2 On Google - for the same oceanfront search I'm 3rd  and 6 th  on the second page , but it changes around - I was 1st and 6th on the first page yesterday.

As far as my name goes- I'm 1,2,4 and 6 on Page one!

I'm really pleased with my results so far, and I am guessing that the more frequently I blog, The better I'll look. I need to have some kind of a weekly  ritual  where I post to localism.

Anyone with similiar results? SEO is new to me and any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I've had some good results with posting my listings. I find if I tailor my titles to specific neighborhoods I climb faster.

Good job Paul.  Keep raising the bar or your competitors will catch on and catch up with you.

I'm curious Paul, are you ranking due to posting listings or due to your blog?  Is the rank your AR localism posts or a personal blog?  Sorry but I'm a wee bit confused as a relative newbie blogger myself.  Thanks.

Ryan - Thanks for the advice - That seems to work.

Larry - Thanks for the motivation!

Marg - It's my Blog - The listings help, but The blogs actually show up on the searches. -Thanks

Cynthia - AR is magic! You know I've been floging this whole AR thing at my office, and no-one bothers. It's frustrating trying to get people to listen to  a new idea.

Paul, I hear you!  I invited almost everyone from my office (which is about 50) and so far only 3 have taken me up on it!  I can't believe how many agents out there are "SCARED" of AR!  It is the absolute best kept secret and I have also seen myself climb way way up in the rankings in just the last 1 1/2 months of blogging!  I also have 2 clients and one is close to the contract stage ALL BECAUSE OF AR!

I've also done this under a couple of my search terms and I couldn't be happier about it! I'm actually 4 of the top 10 under my main search criteria on Google. You just have to love Active Rain!
