On the 14th Street corridor in Washington DC, there has been a lot of new construction slated to begin in 2011. One such new development project is DC District Condominiums, located at 1407 S St. NW, the former location of the Whitman Walker clinic.
This mixed-use project will have 125 condo units and 7 levels with retail on the ground floor. It is developed by JBG and Grosvenor and designed by Shalom Barnes, featuring a glass and brick facade, outdoor terraces, indoor gym, as well as a roof deck with seating areas, a kitchen, bar, and sundeck. 85 percent of the units will be efficiencies (estimated 650sqft.) and one-bedrooms (estimated 1000sqft.). Delivery in 2012.
