Top Ken Meade Realty Realtor - 3 months in a row
WOW! It has been a crazy fall & winter season. It started in September when the calls came in to list homes for the upcoming "snow-bird" season. My son got married in October at the Hyatt Regency Gainey Ranch and I had to turn business away to enjoy the special event.
Then, come November, the buyers started rolling into town. November, December & January have been record months for my business and I know I am not alone. Many of the other agents who specialize in real estate in Sun City Grand, Sun City Festival, Trilogy Vistancia and the other 55+ retirement communities in AZ are experiencing a similar uptick in activity.
Usually December is a month in which Realtors like to take a break. No such luck this year. I broke my career high for sales this December with just over $2 million. Needless to say I didn't have much time to trim the tree or go shopping. Thank heavens what I WAS able to do was just enough.
Amid the continuing doom & gloom media regarding the Arizona real estate market, homes in the age restricted active retirement communities continue to sell... and sell well.
This really is no great surprise to me. With baby boomers turning 65 at an unprecedented rate, the question of lifestyle starts looming as retirement draws near. And it is hard to beat the resort style living that the Shea Trilogy & Del Webb Sun City communities in AZ have to offer.
I quite often have clients tell me that they didn't understand what I meant by this in our long distance communications. It isn't until they have had a chance to visit, and see first hand what I am talking about, that they understand why the sales in these communities continue to do well.
It may mean you don't get the "deal" you think you are going to walk away with but what you ultimately get can be worth so much more than just a killer deal on a house, in the middle of a family community where you don't know your neighbors or have anything in common with them.
