Open letter from another Active Rain colleague, all the way from Kansas, with an invite for me.Just joined up on LandThink real estate site. Easy to think the only two flavors of real estate anyone sells around this AR campus is home and house. And variations on those two chocolate and vanilla flavors. But in rural American land is huge.
Waterfront, farmland, wooded tracts, house lots, vacation sites in scenic areas near outdoor recreational facilities. So land, call it a niche real estate type of market and knowing there are others heading in this same acreage, land direction is helpful.
Hobby farmers and folks wanting to know what am I eating, where did it come from is a growing Maine real estate market.Up in Maine, out in Kansas and everywhere in between. And add in city, urban dwellers who just don't feel safe for themselves or families in the concrete jungle. With all those people, gangs, noise, pollution and rising costs of living. Many want out.
Thanks Marisa! Oh yeah, you like to be a voyeur, reading other people's mail. Almost forgot.Andy:
I wanted to invite you to
you have great insight on rural markets and it would be great to see you on there. It is not nearly as active as ActiveRain but is land focused and it's one of those... once a week jump in to touch base on it - takes a few minutes of my time to reply or answer a few things or post - so just wanted to share it with you.
....From Tornado Land
Best Wishes, Marisa
