When I first heard about Stefan Swanepoel's new book "Surviving Your Serengeti", I thought it would be yet another way to relieve me of my money but after checking out the first couple chapters I realized not only was I wrong but I had to buy the book. There are many ways to teach most any subject and until you hit the method that stirs you it will be tough learning. I immediately knew this was going to be good as I have always thought about the similarities between man and beast. Active Rain has a knack for getting us fresh content that seems to always be spot on and this book is no exception. When I took the quiz I was a little bummed to find out I was a Mongoose. I thought a Lion or Crocodile would have been way cooler but when I think about it the Mongoose does best fit. I am an outside of the box thinker who doesn't always wait for things to unfold. I seem to need to dive in and then figure it out. Instead of fighting who I am and trying to change I think I might as well go with my core strengths and draw from them. I am sure I will be posting after I finish the book so for now, best of luck in all you do and thanks for reading.
Active Rain has a challenge going on where if you download and read a couple chapters of the book and do the quiz you can score 2,500 points and even a few more for FaceBook posters. I will be posting mine to the FaceBook page. Here is the Challenge: Surviving the Serengeti. If you haven't taken the quiz here is a link to it: "What Animal am I?".
