So, You Say I'm a Wildebeest?

By
Real Estate Agent with The DiGiorgio Group

I just read the first two chapters of "Surviving Your Serengeti".  Stefan Swanepoel illustrates '7 skills to master business and life' with the life and death struggles of animals living on the Serengeti.

The book isn't out yet, but when it is I'll be picking one up. Mr. Swanepoel writes in a story-telling style, instead of a boring textbook style. The first couple of chapters cover the arrival of a couple, who won a trip to Africa. They get an introduction right away to the most successful animal of the Serengeti - wildebeest.

While I was reading about the main characteristic that helps the wildebeest to survive - endurance - I thought, "Well, that's not me!"  But then I took the test, 'What animal are you?', and I turned out to be a wildebeest!

But, I'm not convinced that's right. (Anyone who knows me won't be surprised that I'm questioning the results!)  So I need to read the rest of the book, to see what the other animals have to offer.

Can't I be one of the beautiful and powerful big cats?

Take the What Animal am I quiz yourself, see if you get surprised too.

Anyone who is a member of ActiveRain can get some uber-valuable points by downloading (for free) the first two chapters, reading them, taking the quiz, and writing a blog post. Read the details here:  Surviving Your Serengeti: An ActiveRain Challenge.

Hmmm ... Joetta = Wildebeast.  Somehow the picture doesn't mesh ... but I will have to read this book to discover a more complete description.  Still ... Joetta = Wildebeast??  It will take some convincing ... lol

Christina - I know, sounds kinda wild and tough, huh? I'm sure all the animal traits are good, and I think the idea is to develop the positive aspects of the trait you have, and enrich the others.

Belinda - it was fun to read, and I find myself thinking about it when I'm not reading it. That's the sign of a good book, to me!

Stefan - thanks for stopping by!  I'm sure it would be hard for an author to NOT check in, to see what people are saying about their 'baby'!

Gene - LOL - it's a good thing. I've just always loved the big cats!
