Wear your Crappy Clothes to the Office Guarantees unexpected Business!

By
Real Estate Agent with RETIRED 200305001

Any time I stop by the office in grubby cloths and no shave, I will have unexpected walkin business. There have been times I,m doing a bump run, working on my rentals or helping a client out with a dirty work task that I get caught on this. It starts with no intention of working in the office that day.

Next thing you know an agent in another office needs a copy of something sent over that only you know where to find it. Perhaps you are curious about something and just want to stop in for a few minutes. The worst yet, the "First Up Floor Person' just had an emergency and no one else seems available and you are it! Has this happened to you? Can you top my story with a better one?

This has happened to me on more than one occasion and usually these days end up being the best for making things happen.

In small towns like Florence you never know who you'll run into when you're out and about.  Here in Eugene I have seen people shopping in their bathrobe (but it wasn't me).

So true....but usually I get most embarrassed on the quick runs to the grocery store when I don't want to see anyone.

Pat: I usually do pretty good, I just am aware that I'm not front office appearance.

Malcom: Sounds like you been there done that!

Rick: We both know what Eugene is about seeing as I am a Thurston Grad in 1973

Sondra: Here they all expect me to be a slob in the store. At the office and numerous newspaper photo's the are expecting me in Dockers, button down shirt and polished shoes. We are a 4 stoplite town of 8,000 people. Every one knows you and your business and if you aren't careful, the story beats you home.
