Getting Ready To Pay The Man

Subtitle: The Man has been coming down on me!

This morning I started what many of us will finish in about 3 months. A few financial programs, some receipt gathering and organizing, a shoebox or two and then a bottle of quality bourbon. Personal taxes.

Drop off the stuff at the CPA's office. Double check a few prelims. Just a rough estimate please.

Holy shit! No way. Yeah a pretty good year, BUT THIS IS JUST RIDICULOUS.

Who comes up with these tax laws? Why do we just keep on going along with this BS? How many of us actually pay taxes?  Who the %^*& are we supporting?

Death and Taxes, no way out of either.   I feel your pain, I will be in the same boat this year.  And we know that the government makes every dollar count for us.

With S-corp and rental property we cut it pretty tight * fortunately, VA won't tax my social security income!  WHEW!

Wallace- Yep to the S-corp. Good stuff. Taxes are too high. Plain and simple.

Kevin - I hope that you are never "fortunate" enough to have to pay more taxes than what you made in a year. That has happenned to me twice. Its called AMT.
