2nd Annual WORD Fun Fish EventIt is that time of year again kids!!

We had a wonderful turn out last year for this FREE Event and hope to see you all come and join us again. Registration is on the day of the event for children up to age 18.

 

February 27, 2011 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm

 

WHERE? CAMP HUACO SPRINGS

4150 River Rd, New Braunfels, 78132

Trout will be stocked that morning, Trophies, Medals, and $50 cash prizes for any Tagged Fish will be given away. Registered kids receive a Free T-Shirt and a Loaner Fishing Pole on a first come first serve basis. Bait and Tackle will be provided. After all your hard work fishing for the “Big One” bring your ticket (given to you at registration) to receive a FREE Hot Dog or Sausage, drink, and chips. See Details Below. Volunteers will be stationed throughout the campground to assist you.

  • Two Tickets Per Child/Adult Will Be Provided At The Registration Table.
  • One Ticket To Claim Your Free T-Shirt & a Loaner Fishing Pole (First Come First Serve)
  • Please Bring Your Own Fishing Poles If You Have Them.
  • One Ticket To Claim Your Free Hot Dog or Sausage, Drink, and Chips.
  • Any Tagged Fish Cash Prize Will Be Awarded Immediately. Please See Any Game Warden For Your Prize.
  • Trophies and Medals To Be Awarded Starting at 3:45 p.m. sharp!

 

Directions:

Exit IH-35 to Loop 337/46 Turn onto River Road at Shell Gas Station for a total of 2.5 miles, turning right at River Road Ice House. Enter Camp Huaco Springs to the right just prior to 1st Crossing Bridge. From 281 onto FM 306 or IH-35 to FM 306 Turn at Light onto FM 2673. Next Light Take River Road at Valero Gas Station for 9.9 Miles.

Looks like a great event. I used to love this kind of thing when I was a kid.  In Boston, we won't see this around here for another couple of months, ugh.
