I Love My Guardian Angel

Education & Training with Sell with Soul

Readers of Sell with Soul may recall that I always had a Guardian Angel* who protected me throughout my real estate career... in ways that didn't always feel like protection.

Thankfully, my Guardian Angel is alive and well and still looking after me.

The Law of Attraction teaches that when you're doing something RIGHT, it feels easy. It's like swimming DOWNstream. Everything just seems to fall into place. It's called Inspired Action. (Here's a great blog on LOA by James Holmes)

However, when you find that everything is a struggle, when you're not having any fun, when you're running into brick walls at every turn... as if you're swimming UPstream... then you need to back off, be still and wait. You're heading down the wrong path for you and your Guardian Angel is trying to warn you.

In real estate, the Guardian Angel protects your listings from selling when a sale would be detrimental to you or to your seller. At the time, of course, everyone is frustrated and upset and pointing fingers of blame. But later... after all the dust has settled... it makes sense. You know, those moments where you fall to your knees and thank God that the house didn't sell... or the buyer walked away from the deal... or that your loan fell through at the last minute? Yeah, that's your Guardian Angel.

In my world, lately, I've been a basket-case of frustration. Things aren't happening on my schedule, people aren't showing up as promised, everything is taking way longer than it should.

And now... I understand why. And I'm on my knees thanking my Guardian Angel for his protection.

The sense of peace is amazing!

Jennifer, I love my Guardian Angel.  He and my gut instincts work hand in hand some times and they haven't failed me yet!  I'm glad things are starting to fall into place for you now!

As the old saying goes ... "If it just doesn't feel right ... don't do it."  Most of us have at least once forced a round peg in a square hole ... hopefully we learned from that mistake and will take notice the next time it happens.

That means watching your back when working with new buyers and walking away when you think your seller is not being truthful about the condition of the property they are selling.

Sometimes we put the dollar first, when we shouldn't.

Thanks for reminding us.

I absolutely believe in things happening for a reason.... Call it guardian angel or whatever.... Sometimes we dont know why things do not go our way, but after a while, things will start to fall into place. It is when we are walking through that challening times that we find it hard to breathe. I always tell myself that if I had the big picture in front of me, I'd probably let the challenges come in my path too......

Loreena - I was thinking of you (as well as me!) when I wrote this...

JMac - yeah, whatever

Allen - The thing is that sometimes things feel right... but don't work anyway - THAT'S when you really need to pay attention!

Joe - NO KIDDING! Would've saved me a lot of grief and $$$$. But, as JMac said... I wouldn't have listened. I hate it when he's right.

Kelly - I'm SO glad you have one too!

Dale - Isn't that the truth?

Angels fascinate people. For years we've been inundated with books, calendars, stationery, folklore, jewelry, knickknacks, lunch boxes, tattoos, even cherubic trash containers. People can't get enough of angels. Stories of angelic encounters abound on the Internet. You ask, "Do you have a problem with angels?" Well, yes. And herein lies the problem. The messengers are not necessarily "angels of light" as people have been led to believe. Many angel enthusiasts have actually met heavenly visitors from the dark side. Even self-professed Christians are deceived. How can this be? Shouldn't Christians be able to discern what's real and what's counterfeit? Not necessarily. Biblically illiterate Christians are easy to fool.

Just a thought

I truly believe in this has been at play in my life always.   Even when I turn my back on God, He is always there to protect me.  His timing is perfect.

Just wish I could get mine that way all the time.
