Do cell phones alter our brain?  Cause Cancer?

Radiation to our brain?   Radiation to our Brains?

A new study published in the Feb 23, 2011 Journal of the American Medical Association reported that weak radio-frequency signals from cell phone alter brain activity.

What's wrong with this?  A useful accessory?         Useful accessory?

Since cell phones are radio devices that emit electromagnetic radiation, and as radiation which is called "ionizing" can be absorbed by tissue and break molecules apart, such as gamma rays and x-rays, are known to cause cancer, is this good, or is this bad?

Should we talk less? Implications for health remains unclear. What do you think? Can you live without your cell phone?

I think it's possible that cell phone use causes us to make grammatical mistakes.

Sherry, it would be very difficult to live without a cell phone. We've come a long way since the invention in terms of size. There's no way I see that people will stop using them.

Hi Roger

I don't think it will look good on me either, but think of the work-out, bending up and down whenever one needs to reach for the phone.

Hi Rob

Well said. I am a little old-fashioned, and still text long hand sometimes.  Gee, some of the texts are so abbreviated that they spell and look funny...

Hi Clark

I agree.  Disclosure: I can't live without mine...

So, I will use it on speaker phone all the time.  Unles I forget, because my brain is already fried.

Hi Shirley

Your lab looks so adorable. I got a black lab.  Guess there's no point worrying about what we don't know at this time, i.e. until further studies determine how bad it really is.
