Waist deep powder at the Mt. Rose Ski Resort in Reno, Nevada!
Mt. Rose Ski Resort has the highest base elevation of any ski resort around Lake Tahoe and is located just 25 minutes from downtown Reno. The popular local ski resort just received 38" of fresh snow from this weeks recent winter storm.
The picture above was taken while standing on top of the "Chutes," ski runs that are located about 1500 feet up on the mountain covering over 200 acres on the east side of the resort.
Advanced skiers only please !You won't find me anywhere near the Chutes but if you love powder you will love these runs!
The Mt. Rose Ski Resort has fantastic views of Washoe Valley, the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the Lake Tahoe Basin. Lake Tahoe is visible from the west side of the mountain. With reasonable lift ticket prices and many special pricing deals throughout the week, this ski resort is one Reno's favorite places to ski.
