 Reasons to Move to Prescott Valley Arizona

Prescott Valley, Arizona is a small rural community 90 miles from the large metropolitan area of Phoenix

1. Affordable housing prices: Lots of choices in the Master Planned Communities of Victorian Estates (a senior retirement community), Stoneridge, The Viewpoint, Pronghorn, Granville, Quailwood and The Prescott Country Club in addition to several other Senior Communities

2. Schools: The Humboldt Unified District offers excelelnt education opportunites, Plus we have a campus of Yavapai College and a new distant learning university.  Plus, we are only 7 miles to teh main campus of yavapai College which offers many continuing education opportunities.

3. Natural Splendor:  Enjoy the Prescott National Forest, the Bradshaw and Mingus Mountains 

4. Recreation: Lots of hiking, mountain biking, off-road trails, a few lakes. Close to the ski areas in Flagstaff

5. New Developments: The above mentioned Master Planned Communities; a relatively new (less than 2 years new) sports arena, a less than two years new hospital (actuall two), an on-going emerging new downtown. new shopping centers, including a new Kohl's, a soon to be Sams Club, Home Depot (to name a few)

6. Low Taxes:  Compared to other parts of the country, we enjoy  a relatively low tax burden. 

7. Transportation: We don't have long commutes. You can get around to just about anywhere in the Prescott Valley/Prescott in 30 minutes or less.  We are only 90 minutes from the major metropolitan area of Phoenix. We have a local airport, with scehduled commuter floghts

8. Peace and quiet. It's so quiet at night I can hear the silence. The lights from the big city  (Phoenix) are nonexistant; the starscape are nothing short of stunning.

9. Arts and Culture: The new event center in Prescott Valley offers a wide variety of shows in addition to a full schedule of hockey games.  We are 7 miles from Prescott, with the cultural offerings at Yavapai College as well as plays at the Prescott Art Guild and The newly remodeled Elk's Theater. The Prescott Valley Entertainment District and Town Center have numerous entertainment venues, art shows and other activities throughout the year.

10. Rural Charm: We are growing, but still maintain the charm of a rural area.  People actually smile with you and talk to you in the stores.  We enjoy a relatively low rate of crime. 

Oh, I forgot to mention our nearly perfect weather--- about 300+ days of sunshine each year.  We have the 4 seasons, none too severe.
