(not so) Speechless Sundae…
Let's face it, us folks south of the Mason/Dickson ain't used to the all the white fluff, cold temps and bouts of cabin fever that Y'all north of "the line" are 'useta'. The past week of glorious spring-like weather has been a real god-send. While grubbing in the gardens, soaking up the rays and warm temps, I spotted this one lone daffodil, brave enough to herald, "Yes Virginia, Spring is on its way..."
Hi Michael - That is a beautiful sight! I live near Barbara and like she said we're getting more snow, but that's okay because I'm up in Vermont for the nexxt 5 days to ski, dog sled and snowmobile, so it's all good!
HI Michael, we haevn't had snow in a while and I hope it stauys that way. I love seeing that pretty flower this morning :)
Good morning Michael!
There is hope...Winter is almost over...
Have a great day!
Oh Michael, We can't wait to see those popping up in our garden soon too. Where are you Springtime?
I was planting new Rose bushes in the front yard yesterday.
Spring has sprung here. It's been in the 70-80's all week.
But it will be hot soon enough, LOL.
Good post,
Clint McKie
Michael...they are starting to pop up here also....Nice shot!
Hope you have a great day!---Rob
The weather snow gun hit southern areas and siphoned off the amounts of white stuff we usually get. See San Francisco got first snow to this amount since 1976. Snow is not a dirty four letter word in northern states where snow skiing, snowsledding, ice fishing, pond hockey, snow shoeing, etc.
Michael, We've noticed the green blades of the daffodils and crocus starting to protrude in our yard. The end is in sight!!
We have trees beginning to bloom this week, but I don't remember seeing any daffodils yet. Seems sorta backwards, but I'll take it.......very nice to see any signs of Spring!
Michael ~ Thank goodness we haven't had any snow this year in Sunset Beach, North Carolina ~ We move from New York to get away from it ~ Spring is in the air here with the early perennials blooming ~
Hi Michael, We just received another 5" of snow overnight. Enjoyed seeing the vibrant colors again. All we are seeing is the white snow. Thanks for sharing.
We've got sprouts of green and buds on some of the trees. The doves and the finches are back building their nests above the patio. Yea Spring will come!
I'm with you Michael. I saw flowers beginning to pop their little heads this week-end as well. I spent a part of my day walking and shopping in garden department at Lowes. I love this time of year!
This weekend seems to be the sign that winter is over. In the 70's yesterday and near 80 today! My windows are open, my shorts are on and I'm headed out the door to go for a bike ride.
Bye-bye winter!
It was a gorgeous Sunday at the jersey Shore...I have never been so ready for spring! That's one opinion from the north!
Michael, you are managing to give us some hope... this winter just does not want to end up here.
