Beer Here!  Get Your Beer Here!

Last November, Addison Texas residents went to the polls and voted to amend the Town's Charter. The amendment allows for the sale of beer and wine to be sold at locations meeting certain requirements beyond the Inwood Road Alcohol Beverage Center boundaries.

A few weeks ago this sign appeared in my local supermarket, the Tom Thumb on Marsh Lane just south of Spring Valley:

The beer has appeared on the shelves, the wine is still "coming soon."

Lorrie, My daughter went to school in Denton and I can remember them being dry also.  I think your county made a wise decision. It is so convenient to buy a bottle of wine with your groceries.

I have to admit. The title caught my eye. We have beer in the grocery and convenience stores here in Park City, UT (although lower alcohol - same as Colorado); but no wine. We still have to make a trip to the state run stores for that.

I've heard of states that don't sell alcohol at local stores. Arizona has drive through liquor stores which is the complete opposite.
