Motivational Monday: "Just Hold On" by New York Feng Shui Manhattan consultant Laura Cerrano
Life takes us on such a journey. Sometimes it is thrilling and exciting and other times, it can be challenging. On Thursday, I experienced one of those "clarity" moments and much needed uplifting messages from an un-likely source. I'll be honest, Life has been pushing down and stretching me to my limit but, still managing to remain positive. The best word that I can use to describe the feeling is, "breaking". Even Feng Shui consultants have off days, it's part of the balancing act :)
As many of you are aware my mother, your friend, Carole Provenzale passed away in May of 2010. It has been hard accepting that her physical presence is no longer, but having a very strong belief system, loving and supportive family and friends, and understanding that her spirit is always around, has helped tremendously through the process.

Thursday I was at a Health Fair in Hauppauge NY. Right before closing down my both, a lady came over to me. Her name was Diane. We had a great conversation about Feng Shui and then, the discussion dramatically shifted.

Meeting Diane was such a blessing and her timing so needed. She gave me insight, clarity, calmness, and inner peace. Keep in mind, I never once told her that my mother passed, even after what she shared with me.
Diane started off by saying, " I have a message for you". I looked at her with interest and surprise. She continued, "the message is "Just Hold On". I completely understood what she meant, and she continued to elaborate. "I do not know what your going through in your life right now, but I keep hearing, "hold on". Of course I started to cry because I felt like I was "breaking".
Diane continued to explain, " you are very strong and have such great guidance with you. You have a grandmother figure, spiritually supporting and protecting you". Keep in mind Grandma Rose is still with us, so the only other Grandmother figure I could think of was from Colombia (Adam and I are both adopted from that country). Diane even asked where I was from, and kept saying, your spiritual guider is a grandmother.

"The image I see is of a tree, I can not make out what kind or where. It just looks as if it stands alone in an open field. We know trees have branches and are strong, but right now your branches are "breaking". The tree sways back and forth....Your going through a storm and just need to hold on. You will be just fine and never be alone. You are being tested.
Laura, you have a force with people in a positive way. When you work with them, you do not realize and are surprised yourself when you see how they respond. Once you are able to open the gateway you will be 'blown away' with what you can do with your services for others."
I can not share the rest out of respect for what Diane has told me, but I can say ...WoW!

In your lifetime you may only come across one or a few "Earth Angels". These are people who come into your life at a exact moment to help you when you truly need it. All my actions and thoughts to help understand and deal with the loss of mom have manifested to that moment and time in the meeting with Diane.
What was even more interesting, she mentioned the symbol of a tree, the element of "wood". Lately, I have been on a "green thumbed kick", wanting to grow plants from seedlings and to understand the process. The element of wood is to help you become supported, rooted, family Strong. The Earth and Wood are considered healing elements according to Feng Shui. It all made sense :)
