Below are the procedures for joining the crew and helping out!

Step 1: We need everyone to sign a volunteer waiver.  There are 2 different ways you can get these papers.

First Choice: to print out, sign, & turn in when you arrive on the build site- Click here: Waiver Form

Second Choice:  If you are unable to complete the waiver and/or profile beforehand, we will have these available on the job site.

If you have any questions, please call Crystal Moore at 830-625-7005.

Step 2:  We need everyone to self-schedule on the Habitat for Humanity google.docs.   You may find that I have scheduled you for your first day so look for your name!    Click this link for schedule  On the schedule you can sign up for any day you would like. You can sign up as far in advance as you would like.  (Sign up in the White boxes only.)

If you feel you have the skill level to be a team lead please sign up in the white box but contact me so I can move you up to a team lead with our Construction Coordinators approval.

If you have any questions, would like to be walked through the scheduling process, or would like someone to schedule for you, please call Crystal Moore at 830-625-7005.

Step 3:  Before you are able to work at the construction sight, you need to take an online safety course.  Sign on to:  www.hfhvolunteerinsurance.com ; click on the Green box labeled "Course Instructions" .

After your completion of the course "Volunteering on a Habitat for Humanity Job Site", your certificate will be sent to Comal County Habitat for Humanity.

Feel free to take the test as many times as you need to pass it!

If you have any problems with taking the online course, call Crystal Moore at 830-625-7005.

Complete all 3 of these steps and you will be READY TO BUILD!

No other skills required!

Hi Jeani,

Habitat for Humanity is a great organization. I've volunteered in the past with general labor, really wished I had more construction skills to offer them! Good job putting the word out to get people out there.
