What would you ask them?

If you were to look at a heat map of real estate blogging in the United States, Seattle would be en fuego!  It’s RED HOT.

Lucky me, I’ll be moderating a panel of bonafide blogstars for REBarCamp Seattle this coming week and couldn’t be more excited!

Why?

I get to ask Matt GoyerRich JacobsonBen Kakimoto and Rhonda Porter anything you want.

In case you didn’t know…

Matt Goyer

Matt is Director of Online Marketing at Redfin and also writes at http://www.urbnlivn.com/

Rich Jacobson

Rich is a Real Estate Broker, former Community Builder at ActiveRain, and hyperlocal blogger athttp://soundbiteblog.com/

Ben Kakimoto

Ben is another hyperlocal blogger but he brings a twist.  Ben focuses on a niche.  He’s a Condo Blogger athttp://seattlecondosandlofts.com/

Rhonda Porter

Rhonda has been bringing alive the usually dry topic of mortgages for quite a few years now.  If you haven’t readThe Mortgage Porter – you should

So, assuming you were new to blogging (and maybe you are), what would you want me to ask them?  How did they get started?  How often to post?  How many words?  ROI?  Is it worth it?  Best platform to use?

I don’t know.  What would you like to know?

Just leave a comment here, on Facebook or even Twitter.

For me, my first question is going to be to ask Rich, “Where does he get those great looking shirts?”

Mike Mueller, Mana Tulberg, Rich Jacobson, Chris Shouse, Nick Bastian, and Irina Netchaev

Caring expertise...knowledge for you!

I would ask them for a time slot, for blogging/social media...do they spend an hour a day?   Two??  30 minutes???   We seem to be living in a "time famine" world.

Where do they get their inspiration on a daily basis.. they are probably going to say "from everywhere" but how about more specifics....

I heart Rich Jacobson :)  I would want to know how many words...that's a great question that you thought of Mike!

What a great group of presenters.  Wish I could be there.

Seattle does seem to really rock when it comes to web 2.0 and real estate.

Umm, sometimes I drink at Starbucks. And I have a Nirvana CD somewhere around here. That's about my only connection with the place.

Austin is another mecca in my experience.

What is the best way to get readers to leave comments?  How did they get readers?  What topics generate the highest response?

Hi Mike,

You're funny.

Ok, back to your question, I would ask:

  1. When you're blogging, are you using the classic formula to write a perfect SEO intended blog?
  2. Or, you don't even do all that calculating and just write whatever you want?
  3. And, what brings you the most audience?  The first type of blog or the second?

Thanks Mike and have a great time at the meeting!

Cheers from Lake Tahoe,

~Grace Yee

I'm fairly new to blogging. My question would be who is their audience? How do they develop a following? What blogging platforms do they use and like the best?  Thanks,

Do they hire someone to help them write for SEO or do they purely wing it or maybe somewhere in the middle?
