Hello there! With all the media hype surrounding the real estate "downfall" I want to be sure to be included in the group who thinks that this is not the time to panic but to strategize. After all, in 1987 when the stock market crashed wasn't it worth it to those who saw the waiting fortunes to be made with the stock market's inevitable rise to greatness once again in a relatively short time after that???

Surely now is not the time to give up or give in but rather to see this as a time of investing in your business for what will become the return of real estate as a financial powerhouse. Do what the others wont. Listen to what your clients are saying and make plans with them to forge ahead instead of waiting as if there was a cloud over your heads.Go the extra mile,see one more house, talk to one more FSBO.... it is the seeds of change that will bring about a healthy attitude towards real estate and it starts with each agent.

We are the movers and the shakers of the real estate world.Yet some still will take this time to vacation,check out,move on or just simply hang up their licenses for good because the market is "slow" or "weak" or not as what they perceive as lucrative .Sure the media has beleaguered the fact that the housing market has seen prices drop and foreclosures are at an all time high.But it only means one thing: we are going to see a comeback. All the ARMS and other garden variety loans (Options Arms for one) that ran amuck have come out to haunt the industry so it is up to us to educate and inform our clients to take appropriate steps to correct their situation,whatever it may be and also to let them know the market WILL balance out. Again. As it always does.

The fear is great out there that buying a home is near to impossible or that selling a home now spells financial shortfalls for those looking to capture a large equity return. To all I say "Have no fear" In fact, I would say that this entire episode will settle down and we will all prosper from the robust inventory that is out there when it does!

I am not sure where we are going I am not a genie. What I do know is that  I will do what others wont---I will stay the course.

Good for you!  I wish more people had your attitude and persistance.  Now is the time to buy!  Not once the market starts going back up again.
