Is it a good time to sell land in Riverside County?

I get asked this question a lot from sellers of land in the Whitewater area of Riverside County, CA.  A couple years ago I told all the people that contacted me how much the value of their land lots had gone down, and if they didn't need to sell to hold off.

That was in 2008-2010. Now here we are in 2011 and people are again asking me if it's a good time to sell their land. My answer before was if you didn't have to sell, then I would suggest waiting. My answer now is things are getting better and people are again looking at land. Not like they were in 2004-2006, and not at the same inflated prices, but people are looking. So, if it was my land I would go ahead and list it, but at today's prices. Forget what I told you a few years ago, that time has passed.

Hi Kathy,

Glad to see you're having more interest in raw land. The person I referred you to a few years ago may be ready himself. I'll give him a call.

Hi Cathy, I didn't think there was much undeveloped left in SoCal. Your useful and humorous suggestions are excellent. Anyone looking for land in Riverside County should call you first!

Hi Linda.....yes, I just listed 2 lots that the sellers had decided not to sell then.  Now they are selling them, and one of the lots I actually had a buyer interested in several months ago.  Not selling like hotcakes, but there are buyers :)

Mara- We have a lot of undeveloped land in my area....the picture here shows the Whitewater community and there are a lot of lots available :)  Then in the surrounding areas there is a lot of land...I have 10 acres listed just a few miles outside of Palm Springs that is zoned multi-use.

When they adopt a road...is it named after them?  (The picture).... Sounds like things may be picking up over there?

Janice- I saw your staged home over in Beaumont, and that is a good indicator also of people buying :)

Sallly- yes, you can fill out some paperwork and if the road you want to adopt is available your name will go on the sign :)  I was going to do it for this area, but the Neighborhood Watch people beat me to it :)
