Las Vegas Nevada Metropolitan Police Department - "Let's go get some Real Criminals"

For all the crime that is committed in Las Vegas Nevada why are Police Officers giving out (parking tickets) vs focusing on Real Criminals, or let's say Bank Robbers, Home Robberies, Rape, Selling of Drugs, Sex Offenders, etc. Is it because if if Metro Police Officers go out and get real Criminals there is no revenue coming in to pay their wages? We have way to many Metro Police Officers in the Las Vegas and surrounding areas.

And if Metro Police doesn't start going out there and getting Real Criminals Vegas Bob is going to see it that you may be looking for another job, maybe security.

You seem to be getting under Vegas Bob's skin and as a asset to the City of Las Vegas & Nevada this could be a very bad thing!

Here is a post about a Metro Police Officer that was very rude to Vegas Bob and I will not take this rude behavior from anyone including "Metro".

Our local police department got a homland security grant and used it in an interesting way. They have a patrol car that is mounted with camers in the front, and in the rear on both sides. All they have to do is cruise the local shopping malls and give out tickets!! The camera's are hooked up to a computer that does a quick OCR read of the license plates to see if there is insurance, the registration is valid, or if there are any outstanding parking tickets on your car. If there are any problems -- guess what, you get a ticket. Now days the police dont even have to do actual "police work" to get paid!! Great use of our homeland security grant money and tax dollars! This is going to be the trend, as most cities, counties and states are going to look for better ways to generate quick and easy cash - from good tax paying people.

Hello Jeffery and I have to agree everything is about money and stealing from tax payers one way or another. It's sad because crime has become a HUGE business around the country and while this man is focusing on writing tickets you have thugs robbing store owners, running out of the malls and security to scared to do anything ...

Then is becomes and insurance claim that involves insurance companies and or Metro writing up a report so they can keep track of crime in the cities ... "What a BIG joke"

Robert - In Toronto they have meter maids for ticketing and here in uxbridge the bylaw enforcement officers also does the ticketing.

Hello Kathy and we have meter maids here in Vegas also but where I received my ticket was up by the mountain in the middle of nowhere, population around 50 people ... very disappointing. I did mention to this officer that I was going to write a bad blog about this situation and he said go ahead ... so here it is! The problem with citizens of the United States is everyone is chicken-shit of Law Enforcement, Judges, Attorneys, etc. Well I know people that sue them all the time and WIN!

These people I know don't put up with their crap and hiding behind a badge, and the State or Government!
