What do you mean I actually have to do something to get noticed?

You think you have done all of the right things.  You have joined all of the social media networks you could possibly thing of.

You got your self a brand new web site and put all of your listings up.  Still no one is visiting your sites, your not getting any feed back or leads.

Social Networking is useless to you

That statement is completely correct if you don't know how to leverage it.  It is a very complicated thing and actually can be oerwhelming at first, especially if you aren't a computer person to begin with.

My story is similar to this.  Although I had experience with computers in the past and I knew all of the basics, I stil couldn't wrap my head around the concept of social networking and online marketing.  By no means, am i an expert on the subject, but I have been spending all types of man hours just sifting through articles on the Internet and learning all types of different aspects of the game including SEO, Blogging, new software programs.  But there is one general rule that I had to find out for my self...

You can have all of the technolgy you want, but if you don't use it, it is worthless.

Step 1 out of 1: Use your tools.

  • My facebook an page was stagnant forever.  Before January 31st I didn't post anything on my fan page, I just expected people to join.  I didn't have any followers and no one was consistently on my site.  With in one month I increased my following by 605%  All I had to do was actually post things.  Anything I found interesting I would put it up.  I tried to find different topics, some serious some funny, some pertaining to my life.  Now I don't have a ton of followers, but I have a lot more than I started off with and the number is still growing daily.

This is just a screen shot of the constant growth of my Facebook fan page.  It is that simple.  Just take action and use your tools.  The last thing I am going to show you is a quick view of another site.  Below is my actually company web site.  Don't be alarmed b y the numbers, check back in in 6 month h and you will see a huge difference.  We are getting a completely new one March 15th so we haven't updated it in a while.  I stress we have done nothing different for our web site but with active rain and Facebook and virtual tours we have upped our visitors by more than 40%.  I cant wait to see what happens wit our new web site!

CJ~It is really overwhelming, but you need to just make a plan and get started.  Tackling a little at a time, and keeping track of your numbers will help you see the progress you are making!  I signed up for Internet Marketing Specialist Designation classes with Ben Kinney to learn how to use the tools I have more effectively!

Thanks Karen, with every thing set up and the analytics in place its a lot easier to see where to spend your time and where you are wasting it.  I have heard of Ben before and will be looking up more information.  I can never have too much.  Thanks again!
