First off, I apologize for posting something like this on Activerain, but with Activerain's amazing google power I wanted to post the IMEI (ESN) and SIM Card numbers online so that if anyone ever checks the numbers online that odds of them finding out the hardware is stolen is highly likely.
IMEI or ESN Number #: 012336001142003
SIM CARD #: 89014103243342081244
This phone has been reported as stolen and a police report is being filed this morning. Tracking software was installed in the phone, but it was immediately turned off after being found.
As a summary of the events I was out showing homes in the Village of West Clay in Carmel, IN with a client. Afterward we decided we wanted to grab a quick bite in the Keystone area. We looked up locations on my phone then headed to Red Habanero Grill on 96th Street. We walked in to order, paid, then sat down. I realized I didn't have my phone with me and figured I had left it in the car, where I had used it last, and proceeded to finish dinner. There was only one other customer there that never came within proximity of us or the store front again. From that point on the only people there were the employees.
After discovering the phone was not in the car we called the phone from my client's cell and found that the phone was off and going straight to voice mail. If you know anything about iphones you know that turning off an iphone is a pretty deliberate task. The battery was full.
We went back into Red Habanero to look for the phone, but was nowhere to be found. They said we could come back and look in the back if we wanted, but it's a cell phone. Since I never stepped foot behind the counter this seemed a bit uneccesary.
After looking around in the parking lot for awhile the manager came outside and got mad that we were outside looking around and accused me of thinking they stole it. He showed me his iphone 4 with a cracked screen (which really didn't help his argument at all), and told us we could search the place (One of the employees had left at this point).
Irritated, I went home to call ATT and get a police report filed with the Marion County Police Department. That's a whole other story in itself.
Once again, I apologize for posting a negative topic on Activerain, but figured it might help prevent the thief, whoever it might be, from selling the phone.
