I often get asked by folks who are moving to the south Denver suburbs how to find out about youth sports in the area and get involved. Sports for kids has in many cases become highly competitive but you'll find that if you look around you can find great recreational opportunities as well.
I have 2 kids of my own - my daughter plays soccer and basketball and my son plays hockey, lacrosse and basketball. They keep me busy and I have had the opportunity to become very acquainted with different youth sports organizations around town. I know that relocating to a new city can be hard on the kids, and if they are entrenched in a competitive sports team they may not be as excited to move as you would hope. Sports is a big deal to kids.
Hopefully having a leg up in finding new teams will help you ease their reluctance about moving and get them excited about finding a new team.
Here are just a few to get your started but there are many others to consider as well.
