You’ve served our country, now it’s time for you to be rewarded.
If you are a member of the military, the Foreign Service or part of the intelligence community who has served overseas, you can still take advantage of the $8000 tax credit for first time buyers and the $ 6,500 tax credit for repeat buyers through April 30, 2011. You must sign a contract by April 30th and settle by June 30, 2011.
Qualified Service Members are:
- A member of the uniformed services of the U.S. Military
- A member of the foreign services of the U.S.
- An employee of the intelligence community
Eligible military or federal employees must also have served overseas for at least 90 days between December 31, 2008 and May 1, 2010.
Homes to be purchased can not exceed $800,000.
