Seattle Video Marketing Conference with TBWS

By
Home Builder with Retired

I relished the all day (7:30-6:00) video conference with Frank and Brian and a host of other video bloggers today at the Seattle Center. Here is my current video blogging effort of the day as a before video.

Tomorrow I will start applying what I have learned today to my future efforts. If you are not video blogging...start. And then practice. And then Vlog more. If you ever get a chance go see Frank and Brian in action and take home a wealth of knowledge, do so.

Good work, Glenn, You are off to a good start. I would love to attend a whole day of learning on video, or at least a few hours.

Jeff - They are actually doing a 3 day video seminar in about a month which would be way overload...or maybe a good thing, if you had 3 days. I'm mentally buzzed at the moment.

Glenn,

Hey, you gotta start somewhere.  At least you are shooting.
I collected a couple of tripods off Craigslist, and really like the benefits they bring to video.  When I shoot.....

Jon - As long as you've got non-stop business, you're good to go.

Mike - There were some real good pointers that I need to implement one at a time starting with the tripod.

Glenn... I'm so happy you were there. I ducked in for a bit and worked some helping out in the background. I looked around for you, but didn't see you... I'll be at RE Barcamp all day tomorrow and Frank & Brian are going to be there to. Hope I see you...

Wow!  I am amazed.  Did you take this video with your new camera?  I will be back to watch your progress.

JA - Thank you for reading/watching.

Richard - Jibjab is a start, but I've seen evidence of your more creative nature in action.

René - Can't make it today. I have two business appointments and one can't miss those.

Roger - no one can learn it all. You just have to grab on to something and make a run at it.

Mary - I took it with a ZI8 I had just purchased. The camera I won was a Kodak M580 which takes stills and movies, tho I haven't done movies with it yet.

Good morning, Glenn. Excellent advice… I’ve been “mentally” urging myself to start Vlogging. Thanks for the encouragement… and for leading by example!

Bill - with what I learned, and with a little help from my realtor wife, we are about to embark on a series of localism vlogs on local businesses. I'm excited about that. Look for our first effort sometime next week.

HI GLENN!  I have to keep doing this ... say, what editing program do you use?

Gab - I just downloaded and paid $60 for AVS video Editor. It was demonstrated by the TBWS guys and adds a good layer of versatility to the program that came with the Zi8 or what is with Microsoft's freebie. They recommend to switch to a Mac and use iMovie. Duh! That would be at least $2K and a learning curve I'm not traveling at this point.

Glenn, I definitely have to make some time to get a better handle on this vlogging thing, that's for sure...
