Colorado High School Ice Hockey State Championships Tonight at Pepsi Center

Tonight March 3, 2011, the Colorado High School State Championship Ice Hockey State Championship game will take place at the Pepsi Center as thehockey game Regis Jesuit High School Raiders take on Lewis-Palmer High School.

The puck will drop at 6pm in downtown Denver at the Pepsi Center for what is expected to be a great game.  Both teams have had great seasons and the Raiders are coming into the game with a very successful playoff run and both teams were ranked #1 coming into the playoffs in their respective brackets.

My family is big ice hockey fans, as my son plays as well but he isn't quite at the high school level, yet.

If you are planning to go, the games starts at 6 and tickets can be purchased at the door.  Show up a little early, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a bit of a line to purchase tickets.  Lewis-Palmer is the defending champions and Regis Jesuit the year before - in fact if I remember correctly the year the RJ won the title it was against Lewis-Palmer.  I expect an amazing game.

Steve, What a good reminder to folks in your community!  Sounds like a great night out with the family.  The Whaler's are back in Connecticut!  Never thought I would live to see that happen:)

Although high school sports don’t have quite the attendance that college and pro sports, in many ways they are much more fun.

Frances - It was a great night out with my son.  As for the Whalers, I had heard there was a movement to get them back but had not realized it had happened.

Jim - You are right, it was a fun night.
